CBS Earns 4.8 Overnight For Selection Show
Which No. 1 seed do you have losing first? Which 5-12 upset do you like the most? Which bubble teams should have gotten in? People across the country are asking these questions today after the NCAA unveils its bracket for the men’s basketball tournament. CBS earns a 4.8 overnight Nielsen rating for its coverage of the NCAA Selection Show, flat with last year in part due to a general lack of drama over which teams would make the Dance. The show is relatively tame compared to other years, with analysts Seth Davis and Greg Anthony not saying much that would upset the selection committee. The games kick off Thursday afternoon, and CBS’ March Madness on Demand is expected to generate around $37M in online ad sales, a jump of 20% from ’09.
