  • CBS To Air NCAA Final Four In 3D This Year

    Following such events as the BCS Championship and NBA All-Star Game, the Final Four will be the latest premier sporting event to go 3D. CBS has signed a deal to show the national semifinals and championship games in 100 movie theaters across the country. Pace Technologies, the company responsible for the 3D effects in Oscar-winning movie “Avatar,” will aid CBS with the production. The net also relishes new developments on a smaller screen, as it announces it has sold out its ad inventory for March Madness on Demand. Capital One, which recently signed a deal with the NCAA, will join AT&T and Coca-Cola as the third presenting sponsor of MMOD. CBS expects ad sales to finish well above the $30M the online platform earned in ’09.
