Super Bowl Host City Hotels See Huge Gains When Game Is In Town

Average hotel room rates in Super Bowl cities have seen big increases in recent years compared to similar periods the year before and after the NFL's big game comes to town, according to a SportsBusiness Daily/Journal analysis of Smith Travel Research data. Hotels in Miami have had the highest rates among host cities -- rates from the '07 game reached an average of $231.50. Below are average hotel rates in Super Bowl cities from recent years, with comparisons to the same period the year before and after the game (THE DAILY).
