    Kornheiser Off "PTI" Due
    To Comments On Storm

Tony Kornheiser has made a career of speaking his mind without much hesitation, but ESPN believes his derogatory comments last week about Hannah Storm crossed the line. ESPN has suspended Kornheiser from "PTI" for two weeks for comments made on his DC-area ESPN Radio show that the net's John Skipper described as "entirely inappropriate." Many believe Kornheiser may have "picked the wrong time" to criticize his female colleague, as the Worldwide Leader continues its ongoing effort to fend off accusations that its "swaggeringly macho culture ... is less than welcoming to women." Former CNN reporter Daryn Kagan says Kornheiser's off-colored remarks are "just the latest in a long line of embarrassing stories for the network." The hard slap-on-the-wrist from Bristol serves notice to all ESPN employees that the company will not tolerate this sort of commentary.
