    Woods Plans To Return To
    Tour, But Not Sure When

Tiger Woods has broken his three-month silence, issuing his first public comments since the Thanksgiving night accident that focused a spotlight on his personal life. He apologizes numerous times for his "irresponsible and selfish behavior," noting he has "a lot to atone for." Tiger remains vague about his return to competitive golf, but does not rule out a comeback this year. He also calls reports that he has used performance-enhancing drugs "completely, utterly false." But the event seemingly fails to live up to the hype, and it is not helped by a technology failure halfway through, with the center camera feed fading out. Critics are quick to comment on the statement, which airs on most major networks, as well as online. Some observers praise Tiger for being "comprehensive," "genuine" and "authentic." But others criticize his "rigid" body language, overly-coached words and scripted hugs with family and friends.
