Jerry Jones and Mark Cuban are doing their part to make sure the NBA All-Star Weekend is not overshadowed by the opening weekend of the Vancouver Games, as ticket sales for Sunday's game are soaring to record heights unlikely to be matched. Jones and Cuban have touted the possibility of surpassing 100,000 fans for the game at Cowboys Stadium, and David Stern admits to choosing the venue to properly honor the newest "wonder of the world" and to "set and retire" the attendance record. But Stern is careful to note the move does not signal a "return to domes" for the All-Star Game. Meanwhile, the event also sheds light on the evolving relationship between Cuban and Stern, who says he now communicates with the Mavericks boss "at least as much as any other owner." Cuban has made great strides toward making the NBA "relevant in Dallas" and no longer needs to rant and rave to make the league and his fellow owners listen.
