News Corp. Considering "Restructuring" Duties In TV Division
Published January 12, 2010
News Corp. is “considering a restructuring” of its TV division that is “expected to see a re-shuffling of duties" among top execs, according to multiple sources cited by Ben Grossman of BROADCASTING & CABLE. While details are still being finalized, Fox Sports Chair David Hill “will gain greater power on the sports side,” with the RSN business, including FSN Networks President Randy Freer, falling under Hill’s watch. In addition, Fox National Cable Networks President Rich Battista “could end up either being reassigned within the company or no longer with the company.” Still “being determined are changes -- if any -- to the role” of Fox Networks Group Chair Tony Vinciquerra (BROADCASTINGCABLE.com, 1/11).
