TNT Off To Best NBA Regular Season Start In 26 Seasons Of Telecasts

TNT is averaging a 1.5 cable rating and 1.965 million viewers for its first 14 NBA regular-season games, marking the network’s highest NBA regular-season viewership at this point in the season in the 26 years TNT has been broadcasting the league. Compared to the same period a year ago, TNT's exclusive telecasts are up 15.4% and 24.9%, respectively, from a 1.3 cable rating and 1.573 million viewers. The network has also seen growth in all key adult and male demos. Meanwhile, ESPN, which has non-exclusive NBA telecasts, is averaging a 1.3 cable rating and 1.651 million viewers for its 21 games. The net is flat in ratings but up 3.6% in viewership. The Cavaliers and Lakers have been the biggest draws to date on both networks -- one of the two teams have been part of each of the top 10 most-viewed games this season (THE DAILY).
