Point Of Discussion: "PTI," "Around The Horn" Going HD Next Fall
Published December 11, 2009
ESPN afternoon chat shows "PTI" and "Around The Horn" will be produced in HD starting next fall, company officials said Friday. The two shows have been produced at DC-based Atlantic Video studios since coming on the air in '01 and '02, respectively. The shows' staffers earlier this week were told that the shows would be moving to ABC News' studios, which also are located in DC. ABC News will construct the new sets in the coming months. ESPN put the production contracts out to bid earlier this month and received several bids, including one from Atlantic Video, which was hoping to keep the shows, a source said.
