FLYING HIGH: Comcast SportsNet Chicago earned a 3.0 local rating (106,080 HHs) in the Chicago market for its broadcast of Wednesday's Rangers-Blackhawks game, marking the net's highest Blackhawks regular-season rating ever. The net's previous high was a 2.7 for the October 14 Oilers-Blackhawks game (CSN Chicago)....WGN-CW earned a 3.2 local rating in Chicago for last Saturday's Blackhawks-Penguins game, marking the team's highest regular-season rating on the channel in over 20 years, excluding the '09 Red Wings-Blackhawks Winter Classic. Blackhawks telecasts on WGN-CW are up 44% over last season (WGN).
NORTH OF THE BORDER: CFL.ca set records for unique visitors, total visits and page views in the month of November. Unique visitors in the month were up 76% and surpassed the 1 million mark for the first time in the site's history. CFL.ca's Live Play feature, which allows fans to track games, statistics and play-by-play, also produced a 194% increase in page views for the November 29 Alouettes-Roughriders Grey Cup over last year's finale (CFL)....The CBC earned 1.203 million viewers for the December 4 ceremony celebrating the Canadiens' centennial, more than the 1.101 million viewers that watched the Bruins-Canadiens game it preceded. The most-watched sports broadcast in Canada last weekend was the CBC's "HNIC" broadcast of Maple Leafs-Bruins, which earned 1.453 million viewers (THESTAR.com, 12/7).
CFL.ca Sets Records For Unique Visitors, Total
Visits And Page Views In Month Of November
LOCAL SUCCESS: KPNX-NBC earned a 31.9 local rating in the Phoenix market for Sunday's Vikings-Cardinals game, which marked a local market record for a Cardinals regular-season game. Cardinals games this season are averaging a 23.0 local rating, up 38% over the same period last season (Cardinals)....Comcast SportsNet Philadelphia earned a 4.9 local rating for Monday's Nuggets-76ers game, which marked 76ers G Allen Iverson's return to the team. The 4.9 rating marked the highest-rated 76ers game since Game Four of the '08 Pistons-76ers Eastern Conference Quarterfinals (CSN Philadelphia).
