Under Armour Agrees To Six-Year Deal To Outfit BC's Sports Teams
Published December 1, 2009
Under Armour has "won a lucrative, six-year deal to outfit Boston College's athletes," according to Christine McConville of the BOSTON HERALD. UA in July "will become the exclusive official outfitter" for all 31 BC athletic teams, including football and men's basketball. UA "will provide all the teams with uniforms and training apparel, footwear and coaches' clothing," and will "advertise its products at games." The deal with BC is the first agreement with a school in the Northeast for UA, which has "similar agreements" with Texas Tech, Maryland and Auburn. While UA said that there is a "cash component to the multimillion-dollar deal, neither party is disclosing specific numbers." BC had been outfitted by Reebok since '94 (BOSTON HERALD, 12/1).
