Published November 17, 2009
Chicago 2016's key officers and staffers made "substantial salaries," according to an '08 tax form cited by Kathy Bergen of the CHICAGO TRIBUNE. Chicago 2016 COO David Bolger "was the top-paid in 2008, with a compensation package of $407,557," though he "voluntarily reduced his salary" by 25%, effective February 1, 2009. Bergen noted Chicago 2016 was a "non-profit" which was "privately funded." The following lists other top earners and Chicago 2016's five highest-paid independent contractors (CHICAGO TRIBUNE, 11/17).
