Former AFL Acting Commissioner Ed Policy Hired By NFL As A Consultant

Former AFL exec Ed Policy has been hired by the NFL as a consultant. NFL VP/Communications Brian McCarthy said Policy will be involved with projects within the various league business areas, and will not be a full-time employee. Policy will work with NFL Exec VP/Finance & Strategic Transactions Eric Grubman and others. Policy, the son of former 49ers and Browns President Carmen Policy, was Deputy Commissioner and later Acting Commissioner of the now-defunct arena league, a job that NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell helped put him in (Terry Lefton, THE DAILY).
