Legends Sees Food/Retail Per Cap In Mid-$60s For WS Game Six
Published November 10, 2009
Legends Hospitality Management, the Yankees' new concessions joint venture with the Cowboys, generated a food and retail per cap in the mid-$60 range for Game Six of the World Series last Wednesday, said Mike Phillips, the firm's Senior VP. The Yankees beat the Phillies in the game to win the MLB championship. Phillips declined to break the numbers down into food and merchandise. Merchandise sales at the new Yankee Stadium picked up after Games One and Two and played a big part in producing the overall figure, he said. The per cap matched the numbers established on Opening Day, the first game at the club's $1.5B ballpark, Phillips said. Concession prices did not change for the postseason, he said.
