NBC's Dew Tour Coverage Sees Lowest Season Of Viewership
The '09 Dew Tour on NBC averaged 677,000 viewers over nine telecasts, marking the lowest viewership since NBC began airing the events in '05. Viewership was also down 40.2% from the record set last year, when it had NBC's Beijing Olympic coverage as a lead-in for select telecasts. This year's Sunday telecast of the Wendy's Invitational on August 16 was the Tour's most-viewed. It had lead-in coverage of the World Track & Field Championships featuring Usain Bolt (THE DAILY).
