SBD/Issue 33/NBA Season Preview
NBA Remains Among Favorite Spectator Sports Even In Offseason
Published October 28, 2009
Despite the NBA still being in its offseason, the league remained the fourth most-popular sport during the month of September, according to data from ESPN Sports Poll, a product of market research firm TNS. The ranking put the NBA ahead of some leagues still playing out their playoffs or regular seasons, including NASCAR, MLS and the PGA Tour. The chart below lists favorite spectator sports among fans for September '09. ESPN Sports Poll has been keeping data on fans since '94 (ESPN Sports Poll).
