TBS Reveals Announcers For MLB Division Series, NLCS Coverage

Caray, Darling To Serve As TBS'
Lead Broadcast Crew In Playoffs
TBS today announced its announcer lineup for the Division Series and NLCS. Announcer Chip Caray and analyst Ron Darling will serve as the lead broadcast team during the Yankees' Division Series and will be joined in the booth by Buck Martinez during the NLCS. Other pairings for the Division Series include Don Orsillo with Martinez, Dick Stockton pairing with Bob Brenly and Brian Anderson partnering with Joe Simpson. Ernie Johnson will anchor the net's studio show, which will include Dennis Eckersley, Cal Ripken Jr. and David Wells. Tom Verducci, Craig Sager, Marc Fein and David Aldridge will also contribute to the coverage (TBS). USA TODAY's Michael Hiestand reports Wells is replacing Harold Reynolds, who joined MLB Net before the start of the season. Meanwhile, "in a first for TBS," announcers "will use Twitter." But Turner Sports Senior VP & Exec Producer Jeff Behnke said, "Our announcers will never Twitter during broadcasts. They're there for the viewers" (USA TODAY, 10/1).
