2010 F1 Schedule Includes Korean Debut, Possible Return To Canada

The FIA yesterday released the ’10 F1 schedule that will include a "much anticipated debut in South Korea," as part of a "19-race schedule for the first time since 2005," according to Randy Phillips of the Montreal GAZETTE. The season kicks off with the Bahrain Grand Prix on March 14, and the Canadian Grand Prix has been "pencilled in for a return" to the schedule on June 13 at Circuit Gilles Villeneuve. The date of the Montreal race "will be confirmed pending the successful conclusion of contract negotiations between government, city officials," race promoter Francois Dumontier and the F1 Management Group. Details of the agreement have yet to be finalized, and the FIA is "prepared to move the Turkish Grand Prix from May 30 on next year's calendar to June 13 if contract negotiations" in Montreal fall apart (Montreal GAZETTE, 9/22).
