Buffett Concert Part Of
Dolphins' FestivitiesNew Dolphins Owner Stephen Ross has been trumpeting his desire to add a Hollywood element to the franchise since he bought the team in January, and it appears he was successful in creating a blockbuster feel during last night’s “MNF” against the Colts. Several celebs from the sports and entertainment fields -- including Jennifer Lopez, Tiger Woods, Dwyane Wade and the Williams sisters -- walked down the Orange Carpet at Land Shark Stadium while Jimmy Buffett played a pregame concert as part of what Ross called the “new era of Dolphins football.” The atmosphere was described as similar to the “opening of a hot South Beach club” and an “awards show opening meets sporting event at Miami Gardens.” But with the team out to an 0-2 start, it will be curious to see if even Gloria Estefan, T-Pain and company can draw the notoriously fickle South Florida fans if the Dolphins do not right the on-field ship.
