Ray Lewis Planning Baltimore-Area Sports Entertainment Center

Ravens LB Ray Lewis yesterday unveiled plans for MVP Entertainment, a "sports-themed entertainment center" in Hunt Valley, Maryland, that could be the "first in a national chain," according to Gus Sentementes of the Baltimore SUN. Lewis has a majority stake in the project, while his business adviser Marc Rosen and Rosen's wife, Laura, are minority partners. The investors "declined to say how much money they are putting into the project." The complex will be built at Hunt Valley Towne Centre, and is scheduled to be "completed by Super Bowl time next year." MVP Entertainment will feature "tiered bowling lanes, a 100-foot-wide video wall, a 150-seat restaurant and sushi bar, private event rooms, a quick-service restaurant, golf simulators, an arcade, a radio broadcast center and a sports memorabilia and bowling pro shop." Marc Rosen said that MVP will include NFL memorabilia "from Lewis' personal collection." Rosen added that plans include "launching similar MVP locations in other cities where there are NFL and other pro sports teams, and each location will take on the flavor of its local sports scene" (Baltimore SUN, 9/16).
