Arsenal Names Tom Fox CCO

The Nationals Thursday formally promoted acting GM MIKE RIZZO to Senior VP & GM. Rizzo signed a multi-year contract (WASHINGTON TIMES, 8/21)....EPL club Arsenal Thursday officially introduced sports marketer TOM FOX as Chief Commercial Officer. Fox previously worked for the NBA, Nike, Gatorade and Wasserman Media Group, which he left in November. Arsenal also introduced SVENJA GEISSMAR as General Counsel and TREVOR SAVING as Head of People & Operations. All three will join the club by the end of September (Arsenal).

EXECS: XOS Digital hired MLB Network Account Manager of Affiliate Sales & Marketing BEN GODWIN as Assistant GM for the SEC Digital Network (XOS)….The Sunshine State Conference (SSC) named NCAA Division-III Dir of Academic & Membership Affairs JAY JONES Commissioner, effective September 14 (SSC)....Indiana Univ. Senior Associate AD TIM FITZPATRICK has accepted the AD role at Texas A&M-Corpus Christi (INDIANAPOLIS STAR, 8/21)....The NLL Colorado Mammoth announced TV announcer JOSH GROSS has also been named Dir of Business Operations. Gross will retain his on-air duties (Mammoth)....Keeneland Association Communications Dir JIM WILLIAMS will retire in December after 38 years at the track. In addition, Ellis Park Racing Secretary DAN BORK was named Racing Secretary at Gulfstream Park for the 2010 meeting (THOROUGHBREDTIMES.com, 8/19).
