ESPN Sports Poll: Favre Remains Favorite NFL Player In June

Tiger Woods remains sports fans' favorite athlete, according to June data from ESPN Sports Poll, a product of market research firm TNS. ESPN Sports Poll has been keeping data on fans since '94. Despite being retired since '03, Michael Jordan still ranks No. 2, while new Vikings QB Brett Favre ranks as the favorite player in the NFL. Lakers G Kobe Bryant, fresh off his fourth NBA championship, saw an all-time high among fans naming him favorite athlete. NASCAR driver Dale Earnhardt Jr. saw his lowest level of popularity over the past months during June. The chart below lists favorite athletes among sports fans, ranked by a 12-month average. Also listed are each athletes' results for the month of June '09 and June '08, as well as all-time high and all-time low marks (ESPN Sports Poll).
