WNBA Fan Interest At All-Time Low In June; MMA At All-Time High

The WNBA saw an all-time low in fan interest in June at 28.2%, according to data from ESPN Sports Poll, a product of market research firm TNS. ESPN Sports Poll has been keeping data on fans since '94. MMA had its most popular month ever during the same period, as 39.2% of fans said they were at least a little bit interested in the sport. MMA also had its strongest month ever among avid fans, with 17.3% of respondents saying they were very interested. Boxing also had a good June, hitting a 12-month high in interest among sports fans (40.7%). The chart below lists fan and avid fan interest levels among major sports for the month of June, along with comparisons to each respective sport's 12-month average, all-time high and all-time low (ESPN Sports Poll).
