Rosenberg To Join Redskins

Lon Rosenberg, VP/Stadium Operations the past seven-and-a-half years for the Dodgers, confirmed today that the Redskins have hired him as Senior VP/Operations for Redskins Park and FedEx Field. Rosenberg's resume includes seven years working for Aramark in food concessions. He starts his new job Friday (Don Muret, SportsBusiness Journal).

EXECS: The Tampa Sports Authority yesterday elected Lansing Entertainment & Public Facilities Authority President & CEO ERIC HART as its new Exec Dir, replacing HENRY SAAVEDRA who resigned in March. Hart will receive an annual salary of $170,000, in addition to a $500-a-month car allowance and up to $12,500 for moving expenses (ST. PETERSBURG TIMES, 7/28)....Phoenix Suns Charities has hired attorney KATHRYN PIDGEON as Exec Dir, replacing TOM AMBROSE who is assuming a new role as Suns Community Liaison (Suns)....Global Spectrum yesterday confirmed that the company has hired Mullins Center GM BENJAMIN WEISS as the new GM of the Triple-A PCL Memphis Redbirds (Memphis COMMERCIAL APPEAL, 7/28).

COLLEGES: DePaul Univ. has hired JENNIFER THOMAS as Assistant Dir of Athletics Development (DePaul)....St. Louis Univ. (SLU) has hired Univ. of Louisville Athletics Association Dir of Development TOM KEITH as Associate AD/Development (SLU)....Bradley Univ. promoted JIM REA to Associate SID (Bradley)....The Univ. of Alabama has promoted JON GILBERT to Associate AD/External Operations, where he will have oversight over the athletic department's ticketing and marketing departments (Alabama).
