    RadioShack For '10

Barring something unforeseen, Lance Armstrong will not win his eighth Tour de France title when the race wraps up this weekend, but he plans to extend his return to competitive cycling for at least one more trip through the Alps. RadioShack announces plans to title sponsor a U.S.-based team, led by Armstrong, who will be a large focus of the company's rebranding effort later this year. The partnership is somewhat of a surprising move for RadioShack, which has no other major sports ties, nor much of a presence in Europe. But in addition to Armstrong, the electronics retailer has retained some other big names in support of its effort, most notably Casey Wasserman, a known cycling fan and a longtime friend of Armstrong. Meanwhile, Nike plans to dip its toes into the waters through a shoe and apparel sponsorship of Team RadioShack.
