Page Turners: SI For Kids Bucking Trend With Ad Revenue Up 5.8%

The slumping economy continues to take a toll on the sports publishing sector, with most magazines seeing double-digit declines in advertising revenue and ad pages during the first half of '09, according to data from the Publishers Information Bureau (PIB). Bucking the trend, however, is SI for Kids, which is seeing a 5.8% jump in ad revenue, with ad pages also up 2.1%. The chart below lists ad revenue and ad pages for select sports magazines for the first half of '09, with comparisons to the same period last year (PIB).
