K.C., Columbus Top Sunday British Open Metered-Market Ratings

Residents of Tom Watson's hometown of K.C. were apparently rooting on the native son during his quest for a sixth Claret Jug, as the market's 7.3 local rating for ABC's coverage of the final round of the British Open topped all Nielsen metered markets. Compared to '08, 12 of the 56 MMs saw declines in local ratings. Looking at '05-09, Orlando, Atlanta and Detroit have been the most volatile markets for the final round of the British Open, while Phoenix, Memphis and Raleigh have been the most stable. The chart below lists MM ratings for the final round of the British Open since '05 (THE DAILY).
