Cable Sports Nets Continue To See Penetration Figures Increase
ESPN and ESPN2 top all cable sports nets in penetration according to data for July '09, with both nets available to just over 85% of TV users. Most cable sports nets are seeing year-over-year increases in penetration, with Golf Channel seeing the biggest increase in number of HHs (+8.6%). Speed is the only net seeing a year-over-year decline, as the number of HHs with the net is down 1.1% from 72.7 million HHs last July. The chart below lists July penetration figures for cable sports nets, with comparisons to the same period last year and for June '09 (THE DAILY).
