Wimbledon Men's And Women's Finals Ratings Trend On NBC
Published July 2, 2009
The semifinals of Wimbledon begin Thursday, with the men's and women's finals set for the weekend. Roger Federer has played in the men's final each year since '03, with his loss to Rafael Nadal last year marking the highest-rated finals match. On the women's side, Venus and Serena Williams have dominated the finals recently, as at least one of the sisters has been in seven of the last nine Wimbledon finals. A Venus-Serena Williams final is also in play, and the highest-rated Wimbledon final involving one or both of the sisters was in '02, the first time they met in the finals at the event. The chart below lists a ratings trend for both the men's and women's Wimbledon finals from recent years (THE DAILY).
