"MNF" To Be Inducted Into Broadcasting & Cable's Hall Of Fame
Published June 15, 2009
"Monday Night Football" will be inducted into Broadcasting & Cable's Hall of Fame in N.Y. this October -- the first time a sports franchise has been honored with a slot in the trade magazine's Hall. "The Broadcasting & Cable Hall of Fame has been recognizing television industry leaders and innovators for nearly two decades, and for 'Monday Night Football' to be the first sports property to earn this designation is a testament to the 'MNF' franchise and to the success and popularity of the series all these years," said ESPN/ABC Sports President George Bodenheimer. Other honorees include NBC President Jeff Zucker, Fox Networks Chair & CEO Tony Vinciquerra and Cox President Pat Esser.
