Titles For Crosby, Bryant Cap Exciting Playoffs

The NBA and NHL both conclude their impressive postseason runs with arguably the best player in each sport walking away with a championship. Kobe Bryant’s Lakers cruise to the team’s fourth title in 10 years, and while ratings for last night’s Game Five are unavailable due to the digital conversion, there is no reason to believe the numbers will be much different from what have already been the most-watched Finals in five years. Meanwhile, the Penguins win a thrilling Game Seven in Detroit in a contest that sees even admitted non-NHL fans tuning in and praising both NBC’s coverage and the action on the ice. Now comes the league’s challenge of keeping those new fans and building upon a successful Playoffs.
