Rose Bowl Moving From ABC To ESPN Beginning In January 2011
Published June 12, 2009

Starting in January '11, the Rose Bowl will move from ABC to ESPN, joining the other BCS Bowl games on the Championship Series. This means that all five BCS bowl games -- Rose, Fiesta, Orange, Sugar and the National Championship -- will be telecast on cable for the first time. In November, when ESPN signed a four-year deal for the rights to BCS games, it was widely assumed that the Rose Bowl would follow eventually, even though the Rose Bowl has a separate media rights agreement from the other BCS bowls.
