Rangers, Nats Seeing Local Ratings Gains; Red Sox Off 14% On NESN

The Red Sox through May 20 have the highest local rating among MLB RSNs, averaging an 8.67 local rating on NESN. However, that is off 14.1% from the same period a year ago. The Rangers are seeing the league's biggest RSN gains, as the AL West leader's local ratings on FS Southwest are up 111%. Also seeing healthy gains are the Nationals (+56%), Royals (+33%) and White Sox (+33%). The A's are seeing the steepest drop in local ratings, off 63% from last year, when their games aired on CSN Bay Area. Coming off their World Series appearance last year, the Phillies' and Rays' local ratings are both up 14% to date this season.
