George Still At IMS Corp. Despite Contrary Report

Just days after Helio Castroneves drinks the milk in Victory Lane at Indianapolis Motor Speedway, the Brickyard is again in the headlines, as IMS Corp. asks Tony George to develop a new management plan for the company. Under this scenario, George will focus on a branch under the corporate umbrella – which includes the IRL and the actual speedway, among others -- that “requires the greatest interest.” The announcement comes after a report surfaces Wednesday morning that had George out of the family business all together, which he immediately denies. George: “No one has asked me to leave.” Getting back to track-related news, Castroneves continues to make national media appearances after his third Indy win, and some are calling for him to supplant Danica Patrick as the face of IndyCar.
