NBA Digital Launches T-Mobile App For Eastern Conference Finals
Published May 13, 2009
NBA Digital today launched "T-Mobile Close Up: NBA Eastern Conference Finals," an application for the T-Mobile G1 phone that builds in part upon the recently released NBA Game Time mobile application. The new T-Mobile offering, marking the first live streaming sports application for the Google-created Android wireless platform, will include four separate video channels separate from the regular broadcast feed, including a "player cam" that will keep a dedicated stream on the immediate bench and court areas. The application, costing $0.99, will focus on the Eastern Conference Finals to create a synergy with TNT's television coverage of that series, and prior to the start of that series, the application will feature post-game highlights of Eastern Conference Semifinal games. NBA Digital developed the application along with Oakland-based Orb Networks Inc.
