Dallas Convention Center Will Host Taste Of The NFL During Super Bowl XLV

Dallas will host the "largest share of marquee events and venues" surrounding Super Bowl XLV at the new Cowboys stadium in Arlington in '11, according to Jeff Mosier of the DALLAS MORNING NEWS. The North Texas Super Bowl XLV Host Committee yesterday revealed the ancillary events for the Super Bowl weekend, and the Dallas Convention Center will host the 850,000-square-foot NFL Experience, and the city's Hilton Anatole will serve as the NFL HQs hotel. Also, the downtown Sheraton Dallas Hotel will be the site of the Super Bowl's Media Center. The Ft. Worth Convention Center will host the Taste of the NFL. Also, the AFC Fan Party will be held in downtown Ft. Worth, while the NFC party is slated to be held in Fair Park. The NFL has designated Dallas as the NFC host city and Ft. Worth as the AFC host city (DALLAS MORNING NEWS, 5/13). In Ft. Worth, Andrea Ahles notes yesterday's press conference featured Pro Football HOFers Roger Staubach, Tony Dorsett and Troy Aikman, and the committee "unveiled the venues like it was an awards show" (FT. WORTH STAR-TELEGRAM, 5/13).

LET'S GET THIS PARTY STARTED: NFL Senior VP/Events Frank Supovitz said, "Our objective in coming here and in getting started so early is to find ways of bringing the community together and also to find an agenda for people who are coming to the region." Supovitz added there is a "massive amount of things to do" before the game itself. Supovitz: "The amount of details required in executing a Super Bowl is enormous. That's why we have a great host committee to help us get on-the-ground work done, make sure that we understand how the market operates and what its sensitivities are and bringing more opportunities here" (FT.
