Yahoo Incorporating MLB.com Content Into Fantasy Games
Published May 12, 2009
Yahoo Sports has begun to integrate content from MLB.com into its fantasy baseball games, including a function in which subscribers of the MLB.tv out-of-market online game package who also play Yahoo fantasy baseball can get real-time alerts for players on their rosters and one-click access to watch live at-bats of their team. The move is an additional element of the multi-level partnership the two parties signed last year. “This is a very compelling offering to our fantasy users,” said Jimmy Pitaro, head of Yahoo Sports & Entertainment. “We’re also hoping it will help us move the needle on mid-season fantasy.”
