NO PLAYER INPUT SOUGHT: NFLPA Exec Dir DeMaurice Smith said, "I find it odd that the NFL didn't ask the players about where they were going to play their Pro Bowl." Smith, referring to a potential rookie salary cap, said, "If they didn't think it was important to ask our players where that game was going to be played, I find it odd that they would turn now to the players and say, 'Well, tell us how much a rookie should get paid?'" (NOLA.com, 5/4).
