Loaded Weekend Sports Schedule Topped By NASCAR, NBA, NFL Draft

Last weekend featured a host of sports telecasts on both broadcast and cable TV networks. The weekend was topped by Fox' telecast of the NASCAR Sprint Cup Aaron's 499 at Talladega Superspeedway, which drew 8.1 million viewers, followed by the Cavaliers' NBA Playoffs first-round series-clinching win against the Pistons. Among cable sports telecasts, day one of the NFL Draft on ESPN took the top spot with 5.1 million viewers, which was also tops among all cable telecasts for the week of April 20-26. The first Yankees-Red Sox series of the MLB season drew 4.9 million viewers to ESPN's "Sunday Night Baseball" telecast, while Fox' Saturday afternoon telecast, which was broadcast to 78% of U.S. markets, drew 4.1 million viewers.
