NASCAR Sprint Cup Ratings On Fox Off 11% As All Races See Declines
Published April 29, 2009
Fox through eight NASCAR Sprint Cup Series races this year is averaging a 5.6 rating (9.307 million viewers), down 11.1% from a 6.3 rating (10.603 million viewers) for seven races last year. Ratings for last year's Auto Club 500 are included, though the race was rained out on the normal Sunday date and run on a Monday afternoon. Each Sprint Cup race this season has seen year-over-year declines, with all but the Daytona 500 and Shelby 427 seeing a double-digit drop. The chart below lists NASCAR Sprint Cup ratings through April 18, with comparisons to the same race telecasts last season (THE DAILY).
