  • No Pin Action: PBA Tour Ratings, Audience Figures Even From '07-08

    The '08-09 Lumber Liquidators PBA Tour on ESPN averaged a 0.8 cable rating, flat from last season. The Tour was also relatively steady in audience numbers, as HHs were up 0.5% and viewership was up 1.2%. This year's most-viewed telecast was the Bayer Earl Anthony Medford Classic on January 18, which drew 1.4 million viewers, up 56.6% from the same tournament telecast a year ago. Last year's most-viewed telecast was the Dick Weber Open, which drew 1.7 million viewers, while this year's iteration drew 1.2 million TV viewers. This season also saw some changes in scheduling, with the points season beginning with a major in the PBA World Championship in October, which drew 687,000 viewers, down 25.8% from 926,000 last year, when the tournament aired in March. The schedule shakeup also included the USBC Masters' move to February, where it drew 1.2 million viewers this season, up 82.5% from 652,000 viewers last season when it aired at the beginning of the season.
