Cable Sports Nets See Penetration Figures Increase Over Past Year

Most cable networks with sports programming increased their penetration over the past year, according to data from Nielsen Media. Golf Channel boasted the biggest increase over that time period, and is now in 70.6% percent of U.S. HHs, compared to 65.6% a year ago. NFL Network's penetration dropped, as is now available on cable in 36.5% of U.S. households. Data for MLB Network and Big Ten Network was unavailable (THE DAILY).
