FanHouse.com Continues Aggressive Push With Six New Hires

AOL’s FanHouse.com recently has hired six new journalists in an effort to bulk up its original content. The new hires are former Newark Star-Ledger baseball writers DAN GRAZIANO and ED PRICE; former Comcast SportsNet analyst and Contra Costa Times basketball writer MATT STEINMETZ; former Santa Rosa Press Democrat baseball writer JEFF FLETCHER; and former MSNBC.com senior editor SUNNY WU. Former Chicago Sun-Times columnist GREG COUCH last week also agreed to join the Web site. At FanHouse.com, Couch will cover college sports, golf and tennis; Fletcher will cover baseball, hockey and college basketball; Graziano will cover football, baseball and college basketball; Price will cover baseball; Steinmetz will cover basketball; and Wu will become the FanHouse.com Page 1 editor. “Their decision to join FanHouse represents the evolution of high-quality journalism into ‘new-mainstream media’ formats,” said AOL Senior VP MARTY MOE.
