Ebersol Weighs In On IOC-USOC Dispute As IOC and USOC officials continue to meet in Denver over their ongoing revenue-sharing dispute, NBC Olympics head Dick Ebersol joins the debate, candidly encouraging the USOC to make accommodations in the interest of a resolution. And as officials from the four cities bidding for the '16 Games argue their cases today, Ebersol does not expect the revenue impasse to adversely affect Chicago's bid. But despite Ebersol's plea and reports of a "productive" meeting between IOC and USOC officials, the dispute may not be nearing a conclusion. The IOC awards CCTV broadcast rights for the '10 and '12 Games for a reported $100M in a move that seems to strengthen the USOC's position that the "discrepancy in the sums paid by U.S. companies when compared to amounts paid by others, particularly China, remains significant."
