Dancing Days: Nike Brands Worn By 52 Teams In Men's Tournament

Nike and its affiliated brands sponsor 52 of the 65 teams in THE DAILY's annual breakdown of the shoe and apparel brands worn in the NCAA men’s basketball tournament, up from 43 a year ago. There are 49 schools that wear Nike shoes, while Jordan Brand has two teams and Marquette is the lone Converse school. Eleven teams wear adidas, while Boston College wears adidas-owned Reebok. That is down from a combined 22 adidas/Reebok schools in '08. Nike/Jordan/Converse jerseys are worn by 48 teams. Maryland has an endorsement deal with Under Armour, but can wear basketball shoes made by other companies. Schools in the chart below are listed by region in their seed order. The first round of the NCAA tournament begins today (THE DAILY).
