Davis Named NHL Media Exec VP/Distribution & Ops

The NHL named Ascent Media Group President of Network Services SCOTT DAVIS NHL Media Exec VP/Distribution & Operations. Davis will be responsible for all media production and distribution operations for the NHL, including NHL Network, NHL.com, NHL Studios and NHL Events. Meanwhile, the NHL named Bain & Co. Manager STEPHEN MCARDLE VP/Strategic Planning. McArdle will work closely with NHL COO JOHN COLLINS in a business planning capacity on a variety of strategic issues (NHL).

EXECS: Colts Exec VP BOB TERPENING will retire from the organization June 1. Terpening has worked with the team since '77 (Colts)....The MLB Giants named Japan Pacific League Chiba Lotte Marines Dir of Player Personnel SHUN KAKAZU Coordinator of Japan Operations (Giants)....The Richards Group promoted KERN EGAN to Principal of Richards Sports & Entertainment, the agency's sponsorship marketing practice, effective immediately. Egan will be responsible for directing growth plans and managing the current portfolio of clients for the practice (Richards Group)....Vikings Dir of Football Administration DAVE BLANDO is leaving the franchise after eight seasons. Blando had "worked closely" with Vikings VP/Football Operations ROB BRZEZINSKI in managing the team's salary cap.
