Michelle Wie, William Morris Agency Part Ways After 3+ Years

The William Morris Agency, which has represented MICHELLE WIE since she turned pro in ‘05, negotiating millions of dollars of endorsements with companies such as Nike, Sony, Omega and Nissin Foods, has parted ways with the golfer, a WMA spokesperson confirmed Monday. JILL SMOLLER, head of WMA’s sports division who led the team of agents representing Wie, said, “We wish Michelle the very best.” Attempts to reach Wie for comment were unsuccessful. Her father, B.J. WIE, did not immediately return an e-mail. In ‘07, Forbes ranked Wie No. 4 on its list of top earners under the age of 25, estimating that she had earned $19M from endorsements and prize money in one year. An industry source said her total endorsement income is near $50M.
