CBSSports.com Bringing Back MMOD Access For Third-Party Sites
Published March 3, 2009
CBSSports.com will bring back its developer platform for the '09 edition of March Madness On Demand (MMOD), allowing third-party Web sites one-click access to the network's online coverage of the NCAA Division-I men's basketball tournament. The program, introduced last year, will expand to include sites such as USAToday.com, and CBS-affiliated spots such as TV.com, CNET.com and Web sites for CBS local and TV stations. Also added this year to the offering is a suite of widgets and applications that will allow for embedding of CBS tournament content including brackets, news and scores into third-party sites and blogs. The developer program, spread last year to more than 200 sites, helped spur 164% year-over-year growth in unique visitors for MMOD. This year's MMOD player will launch March 10 with historical highlights.
