CRAMPED "OFFICE": NBC's special episode of "The Office" that followed the net's coverage of Super Bowl XLIII earned an 11.6/21 rating (22.9 million viewers) from 10:40-11:40pm ET, down 26.1% from a 15.7/27 for an episode of "House" on Fox following Super Bowl XLII last year. The 11.6 marks the lowest-rated post-Super Bowl show since ABC earned a 10.6/20 rating for an episode of "Alias" following Super Bowl XXXVII in '03 (THE DAILY).

SUPER BOWL DEMOS: NBC's Super Bowl telecast averaged 38.3 million female viewers, the most for any TV program since 38.6 million women watched the '94 Lillehammer Olympics figure skating competition. The 38.3 million female viewers marks the third-largest female viewership since Nielsen began tracking the demo in September '91 (NFL)....NBC earned an Hispanic HH rating of 26/42 for the Super Bowl telecast, drawing more than 7.8 million total Latino viewers. The game ranks second in ratings history among Latinos behind nearly 8.9 million viewers for the December 3, '07 finale of "Destilando Amor" (HISPANICMARKETWEEKLY.com, 2/4).

MSG Network Earns 2.55 Local Rating For Wednesday's Cavaliers-Knicks Game

GARDEN PARTY: MSG Network earned a 2.55 local rating for Wednesday night's Cavaliers-Knicks game, in which Cavs F LeBron James scored 52 points and recorded a triple-double. The rating is the net's highest mark for a Knicks game this season. Viewership for Cavs-Knicks peaked during the fourth quarter with a 3.49 local rating from 9:45-10:15pm ET. The previous season-high local rating was set Monday, when the net drew a 2.09 local rating for Lakers-Knicks, in which Lakers G Kobe Bryant broke the MSG scoring record with 61 points (MSG). Through Monday's game, MSG Net had averaged a 1.23 local rating for Knicks games this season, up 14% from a 1.08 through the same period last season (MULTICHANNEL.com, 2/4).

NOTES: Fox Soccer Channel (FSC) earned a 0.5 cable rating (0.2 U.S. rating, 298,000 viewers) for the February 1 Chelsea-Liverpool EPL match from 11:01am-1:02pm ET, marking the net's highest-rated EPL telecast. The rating topped programming on NFL Network, Spike, ESPNews and ESPN2 in the time slot (FSC)....NESN earned a 4.5 cable rating for the January 31 Bruins-Canadiens game, the highest rating for a regular-season Bruins game on the net since a 4.7 for Capitals-Bruins in February '95 (NESN).
