IMG College Inks Media Rights Agreement With Univ. Of Cincinnati

The Univ. of Cincinnati (UC) Athletic Department has agreed to a 12-year media rights partnership with IMG College. The deal, effective July 1, includes more than $30M in guaranteed payments to the school. IMG College will manage all rights associated with sponsorships, signage, on-site marketing, publishing, Web site sales, coaches' endorsements and game-day hospitality. The deal also covers all football and basketball radio broadcasts (IMG). UC said that the deal "would add $1[M] a year to its guaranteed revenue, plus a $7[M] up-front payment." UC will use $5M of that to "pay the termination fee for its current deal" with ISP (CINCINNATI ENQUIRER, 1/28).
